Just a cry for justice from an somewhat ignorant (on baseball matters that
is) guy from The Netherlands. Sorry to post it here, but as a Cubs fan from
the other side of the Atlantic this is the only baseball NG I'm interested
in...
My point is this: shouldn't every pitcher with any decency in their body
walk Barry Bonds at every A/B until he finally quits playing ball? Sure,
being Dutch I don't get all the little baseball tactics that are involved
with the game. But I do know something: if the score alows you to, for the
sake of justice and respect for history and historic moments it is possible
to not give him any opportunity to break 755. What's gonna be next? Will the
Giants ask the city to change the address of the ball park to 756 Barry
Bonds Ave?
If all pitchers walk Bonds, he'll never break the record. There are plenty
of possibilities to do so (1 our 2 outs, no man on base, 8th inning with a 4
pts or higher difference in scores, etc). Am I just stupid or do I have a
point? If I am stupid, I like it. Just let me stay in my happy bubble.
Everybody's invited!
