I live in central mass. In 2000, I worked in a lab and we had a lab tech
whose husband was a bookkeeper and a national guardsman. Between them
they make about 65K a year (and they have 3 kids mind you). In 2000 they
told me that they didn't really like Bush very much but they were
worried that Al Gore would send troops to Egypt (yes, Egypt) and since
he was in the National Guard, there was a chance he could end up in
Egypt (mind you, he's now been to Iraq twice and is going back a third
time in a month).

People will believe whatever they are told. Listen to WTKK long enough
and even the smartest among us may start to think that the Bush tax cuts
made the economy strong. You don't have to be Raymond Shaw to be
brainwashed.
