The Yankees sent utilityman Charles Gipson and P Mike Thurman to the
minors, after they cleared waivers. They were both removed from the 25 and
40 man rosters when they were designated for assignment last week.
Thurman's already accepted his assignment, while Gipson hasn't made a
decision yet."
