The Padres are the first team to provide the losing pitcher at
consecutive All Star Games since the Cardinals in 1942-43 (Mort Cooper
both years). Dishonorable mention goes to the Dodgers, who lost in
2001 and 2003 (Park and Gagne), with only the notorious tie game in
between. Maybe we should have been voting for Zambrano.
