MONTREAL (AP) -- Expos outfielder Peter Bergeron was traded to the Milwaukee
Brewers on Monday for two minor leaguers -- outfielder Jason Belcher and
pitcher Jason Childers.
Bergeron batted .214 with no home runs and one RBI in 11 games for Montreal
before being placed on the 15-day disabled list April 22 with a right rib
strain. He was activated May 24 and optioned to Triple-A Edmonton.
He is a .225 career hitter with eight home runs and 57 RBIs in 319 career
games, all with Montreal.
Belcher hit .289 with three home runs and 17 RBIs in 47 games with Double-A
Huntsville. Childers, a right-hander, is 1-0 with a 1.26 ERA and a
league-high 15 saves with Triple-A Indianapolis.
