Both Portland and DC are clamoring for a major league team. Since it
appears that there is a plan in place to alienate enough Pittsburgh fans to
claim that the team can't financially survive here, why not let them go now?
Trade the entire organization to Portland - front office, minor leagues,
everything. In exchange, we get the Expos in Pittsburgh.
Expos players are happy to have a home.
Pittsburgh fans are happy to have competent management.
Portland fans are happy to get anything resembling MLB.
It just makes too much sense, no?
