Post subject: Rangers getting tired in late innings
Archived from groups: alt>sports>baseball>texas-rangers (more info?)

Only two weeks into the season and the Rangers offense is already
showing signs of fatigue.Hitting a cool .114 for the season after the
sixth inning. Now you folks know that Arts teams in Oakland were teams
known to be in great physical shape and the late innings belonged to
them. These guys need to get to work and get themselves in shape.Art
can only do so much, there is a reponsibility for the players
themselves. It appears that Art has delegated some authority to Ronny
Washington since this Washington fellow is now having team
meetings.Art has always been a strong believer in delegating authority
and it seems this is once again the case here. Now this Rudy dude that
is supposed to be the second coming of Charlie Lau (you baseball
"experts" do remember Charlie Lau) is just not getting it done. Not
real sure what this Rudy fellow was doing for a living before the
Rangers gig but he needs to pick up the slack. But let us give Art
credit,he understands that the team needs time to get to know each
other and there is a "get aquainted" period that Art is fully aware
of.Monday was a day off for the club so this scribe is gonna be
looking for a well rested Rangers squad to come out tonight and kick
some Chi-Sox butt.
