Being in sales myself I did not want to waste his time so I told
him I was not going to any more games and told him he was free to spend
some time listening to reasons. He offered to "pass it on to management"
so here they are:
The closing of the upper deck to create artificial demand for higher
priced tickets (really helped attendance ,right?).
The overly loud music during batting practice makes conversation
difficult.
So many Saturday night games to avoid the Fox blackout.
Sunday afternoon game can be moved to night on short notice for ESPN.
Last year I went back east. I had tickets for a Sunday afternoon Mets
game. On Monday it was moved to a night game and you could only exchange
tickets at the park before Thursday night.
No replays of close calls show on the big screen (although the
monitors on the overhang on field level show them( because the umpires
union will not allow it.
Wolfe was the one who suggested an extension for the idiot. >> Stay informed about: A's ticket rep called me |

HUGE failure, IMHO. Attendance was supposed to go up, because of the
"increased demend". It didn't. Though I have read theories that they
still made more money because the tickets they did sell were more
expensive tickets.

HATE that. Absolutely hate it. I used to love going to a game early,
sitting and relaxing while watching batting practice, reading the
progra, or just people watching. Now, they feel the need to entertain
everybody. Sometimes I wish baseball would become UNPOPULAR and UNCOOL
just so all the short-attention-span non-fans would quit being catered
to. For me, the game would be much more enjoyable.

Blame MLB, not the A's.

Again, blame MLB, not the A's. They agree to allowing networks to call
the shots.

One of the main reason I almost prefer games on tv anymore. If it's a
close play, and we have the technology to show it, I want to see it.
Period.

Really? Strike 1 for Mr Wolfe. >> Stay informed about: A's ticket rep called me |

Yes, but I do not recall any teams opposing those deals.

Allowing the networks to call the shots means more money for the teams,
so it shouldn't be a surprise why they wouldn't. Plus, even if some
teams do disagree, they probably agree to not say so publicly.
But, I agree with you, games should start according to the home team's
regular schedule, and televison should pick and choose accordingly. >> Stay informed about: A's ticket rep called me |

The idiot can fine teams for speaking out .

What bothered me most about the Mets game was that they announced the
change 6 days in advance and you could only exchange the tickets at
Shea and had to do it within three days after the announcement. >> Stay informed about: A's ticket rep called me |
