...was for Mr. Modesto to not swing at the junk and take a walk. Let
Belliard try to knock in Kearns and tie it up. At least it can't be as bad
as the Yanks or the Marlins games.......
Uh oh, Church in LF. Did WMP hurt himself on the homer?

Didn't you just answer your own question? I didn't see the homer, but they
called it a contusion on his ankle. Oh, and in case Don Sutton is reading,
a contusion doesn't involve cuts. I was in an automobile accident years
ago, and the only problems I had were contusion on my chest from the seat
belt locking, stopping me from going through the windshield.

In my next post, yes. At the time of this post, the game comment had not
appeared and I was just hoping for some info from someone watching the game,
which is something I cannot do.

He apparently hit a foul off his front foot on a prior pitch although I did
not see the ball hit his foot. It looked like he landed his front foot
awarkdly and I thought he broke a bone due to his reaction. How he hit the
homerun with that much pain is beyond me.

I hope Lenny works with him the rest of the year and in the off season to
turn him into a great hitter.

They mentioned on TV that he had been taken for x-rays which were negative,
so I would assume it isn't broken. That doesn't stop it from hurting like a
mf. Maybe he was able to use the pain to drive enough adrenaline to send it
out of the park. Not a process I'd recommend, but.....
