That's actually one of few things he does that I don't like. He makes
defensive replacements in close games (usually Endy) as early as the 7th
inning, which is way too early if you're going to do it at all. I'll
always take keeping the bats in the lineup, especially given the Mets
bullpen lately.
Taking Delgado's bat out of the lineup in a 1 run game with Heilman
pitching is playing with fire - despite what almost happened last night.
