Who do you want to see? In parentheses was who I voted for at the park.
I've corrected parts of my ballot looking at the numbers now.

Pujols
Utley
Rameriz (Rollins)
Jones (Wright)
Martin
Holliday
Soriano
Dunn

I can name a couple of third basemen and several shortstops without
feeling silly, but looking over the NL outfielders....I can understand
why Junior is doing so well in the popular vote. Beltran's star has
dimmed. I guess Rowand belongs. Selected by sorted Ops the NL outfield
would be Nate McClouth, Jason Bay and Pat Burrell. yech. Frankly, Jay
Bruce is a legitimate selection on this field.

Morneau
Kinsler (Cabrera)
Jeter
Arod
Mauer
Ortiz
Sizemore
Hamilton
Rameriz

Vladimer Guerrero would be an easy selection in the NL and he doesn't
even make my first five selections in the AL.

In all honesty when it came to the AL second base vote, I didn't know
who to vote for at the park and looking over things now.....I still
don't know if I got it right. There are four guys ...no, with Jeff Kent
make that five guys in the NL that I would vote for before anybody in
the AL.

Pujols is a great player having his typically great season, but how
are you voting for him over Lance Berkman? Berkman has more doubles,
more triples, more homers, more steals, more runs scored, more RBI, a
higher batting average and a higher slugging percentage. The only
stats in Pujols's favor are more walks and a resulting slight edge in
on-base percentage. Berkman is having an absolutely epic first half,
and has been literally the most productive player in all of baseball.

I'm trying very hard to bite my tongue on that Bruce assessment...
Just six games played, let's start drafting his Hall of Fame
acceptance speech! :p

7 HR 28 RBI .740 OPS is an "easy selection in the NL" for you?

For Vlad? Yeah. Using the same logic that NL fans are using to put
Junior in. It's my game and I get to see who I want.

Because Pujols is a great player having a great season?
Nothing against Berkman. He can play innings 4-6 and I won't complain. I
suspect 20 years from now few of us will remember Lance Berkman, but people
will know that dude from St. Louis.

You can go ahead. It was as much a comment about how weak the NL outfield is
than a serious comment about Bruce's Hall of Fame chances.

Mind you, I only know how bad a year he's having because I snapped
him up on my fantasy team Wink

Alrighty. I had taken your comment about looking at the numbers to
mean you were making your decisions based on this year's performances.

If we are trying to reward LB's season by getting him in as a starter,
you could stick him in the OF.

He usually plays a good number of games there. Although I just snuck
a peek and he hasn't had any innings there yet this season. But WGAS,
because despite the ignorant "this game counts" Buddism, it doesn't.

Same reason I don't have a problem with the KGJ voters. This is
likely his last rodeo, so giving him an appreciation vote isn't a bad
thing to me. I think it shows a bit of sophistication on the voters
part to realize this is probably his last season.
