I am suffering from sticker shock in the wake of reviewing ticket prices for
the new stadium. However, I will attend a game out of curiosity. To
mitigate the high ticket prices, tolls, and outrageous parking fees, I will
eschew buying souvenirs, food, beverages, and basically refrain from
spending money inside the stadium. However, I'd like to bring bottled water
and healthy snacks to enjoy at the game. My plans are to bring sandwiches
wrapped in plastic bags and a large bottle of bottled water. Will this be
confiscated ostensibly for "security" reasons? Yes, I am excited by the
high priced free agent signings, but, hey, I ain't willing to pay for the
inflated salaries in the form of 8 dollar beers and 5 dollar hot dogs.

The 2 items you listed are low from last year's prices so you can expect it
to be more.
You'll probably have to wait until February or March before they let us all
know what their plans are.

I'm reasonable sure they will continue to allow clear bags with food and
closed water bottles.
I saw many many people doing it last year and they didn't bother to look at
anyone's food.
