others:

on 3/29 at 9:00 AM, the baltimore/D.C. regional sports network MASN
(direcTV channel 626) is replaying the 1996 tigers/orioles game that
features the great eddie murray's 500th homerun...i've watched it on
there before and it's truly embarassing to see jose lima, bobby
pigginson and all of the other trash that ilitch figured we should
accept, but the tigers do win the game in extra innings in a driving
rainstorm

the cardinal's flagship fox sports midwest (direcTV channel 647) is
replaying a few WS games from last fall, but i choose to not tune into
those Smile

But that's something only losers say.
In a single game elimination, I would agree, but not in a seven game series.

The good news is that the hockey game on WJBK Saturday afternoon was an FSN
feed in HD! Perhaps this bodes well for Opening Day.

I think there's been many a times when the better team lost in a seven game
series.
Funky stuff happens.
Not that I think the Tigers were all that better than the Cardinals.
Both teams went into the playoffs on a downturn.
Neither one probably should've made it to the world series.
The Yankees were better than the Tigers. The Mets were better than the
Cardinals.

Don't agree. The Yankees have better individual hitters than the Tigers, but
that doesn't make them the better "team." As for the Mets, their starting
pitching was devastated, and, in October, when they played the Cardinals for
the championship, they were not the better team as a result of that.
