The removal of the Colon. Good thing it's his walk year. One Cy Young
year and the other years are nothing but underacheiving.

After his last decent outing I read his (interpreted) quotes about how
he'd watched film, found a problem in his delivery, Manny called him
and wished him luck which felt good, etc. I wasn't and am not buying.
Bart will never regain his Cy Young form. He doesn't take care of
himself well enough. And he's collected enough nagging injuries he'll
only look like a shade of his Cy-self when good, but when he's bad
he'll look a lot like today...and from here on he's pretty much on his
way out.

I hope he somehow proves me wrong.

I went to a game six (or so) years ago when Colon K'd a huge amt of
Angels for CLE, in Anaheim. It was a laffer. The Indians were way
ahead going into the 8th, and fans on a weekday (school) night left in
droves, so my friend and I weasled our way down to some great
abandoned seats not far from the Angel's dugout. And Bart's heater was
around 97 in the 8th, and his catcher's mitt sounded like a small
explosion every time he caught the fastball.

Sad to see guys go out before their time. But he did win the Cy Young!

Funny: the Yankmees have a pitcher named Proctor, right?
