One thing that stops the Tigers from being great. - The horrible defense at 3rd base and I know that Inge and Guillen make ESPN plays, but they kill the team with their booting of the simple plays. How many times do we see them either drop the ball or throw it away? Too bad we can't have 3..

....you get to see the opposing teams hit a lot of big home runs.
Lowell. Boom! Youkilis. Boom! Ortiz. Boom!
The Tigers had every opportunity to win the game tonight with
all of those Dice-K walks, but it was "no dice" for the Tigers.
And Todd Jones looks like a minor leaguer next to Jon Papelbon.
Papelbon is a quality closer...Jones is, well, NOT.
Fun game...looking forward to the rest of this series.

You ever wonder how a player gets the jiggy to play against a
particular team? Seems to me that Youkilis (sp?) hits like 8 homers a
year, and 6 are against hte Tigers....I just don't get it. There was
some backup catcher for the Mariners in the mid-90s used to do the
same thing....name long forgotten. So last night was just yet another
example of Youkilis getting a boner when he came to the CoPa.

Well, it had to be pretty hard to resist that fastball hanging right
over the plate that Bonderman threw.
It was *exactly* the same pitch that Lowell took out of the park
earlier. ESPN showed them side by side, and it was the identical pitch
with identical results. Bonderman should have known better, IMO. >> Stay informed about: One positive thing about watching the Tigers... |

Well, I guess there is some entertainment value to at least that
aspect of watching the Tigers....unless you're a Tigers fan.
