Post subject: Anyone else not like the way players wear their unfirom pants today?

The style where they remove the elastic from the cuffs and wear them all the
way down, like jeans? Can't stand it, plus it's not even stylish looking, if
that's the intent.

That's been the "style" for a while now. However, I was at a
Pirates-Brewers game not long ago and 2 of the Brewers wore their
pants down to just below the knee, so you could see a lot of sock.
One of these rebels was Royce Clayton, the other may have been
Podsednik.

Jim Thome and Alfonso Soriano also usually show a lot of sock

I think one of the first players to mutilate his pants as was described was
Manny Ramirez (in 2001?), and I remember he and other Red Sox teammates were
warned to stop it (by umpires or the commissioner's office?), but I guess it
never was enforced.
