This question came up at work.
Has any pitcher started 3 games in the League Championship Series (or
whatever they called back when there was only one round of league
playoffs?)

Clemens started 3 games in the 86 ALCS. Schilling started 3 games in
the 01 WS. I don't know if they were the most recent.

Back then, it was not unusual for a pitcher to start 3 games
in a 7-game World Series. E.g., in 1958,
Ford started Games 1, 4, and 6,
Spahn started 1, 4, and 6,
and Burdette started 2, 5, and 7.

Add Gibson in '67 and '68
Add Lonborg in ;67
Add Lolich in '68
Add McLain in '68
Add Koufax in '65
Add Jack Sanford in '62

In 1903, Deacon Phillippe started 4 games
and Cy Young started 3 games.

Most games in a World Series is 7 by Darold Knowles
Most games in a postseason is 13 by Tim Worrel
