With this line-up, I can't believe the way they are playing. I heard a
rumor, on a Detroit sports talk station, and they speculated that
Verlander is injured......is this possible? I contend that, yes, they
haven't pitched well, on many occasions. But, when they do pitch well,
they don't get ANY run support. It is a team effort, to play this bad.

or is it a team lack of effort? I haven't heard anything definitive about
Verlander, but, didn't he just skip a turn?

I don't think so. They did have that Yankees game that was rained out
on the 11th but Verlander pitched on the 8th and again on the 14th and
he's scheduled to pitch on the 20th against the Mariners.

You're right. I went back and checled the boxes after I posted that, and,
evidently, I was somehow confused by the two straight off days (including
the rainout).
