From the article:
-----
The game stopped for several minutes when fans threw hats and
baseballs onto the turf and had the White Sox running for the shelter
of the dugout.
------

That's not what happened. I was at the game, 2nd deck behind the Twins
on-deck circle. The White Sox casually walked and jogged off the
field. No hats or baseballs were thrown at nor landed near any White
Sox players.

Not nearly as moronic as Detroit, Chicago, or New York fans have been.

The only reason the ChiSox players left the field was so Ozzie
could build the drama. Nothing more, nothing less.
