How about Sante Fe? New Mexico doesn't have any professional sports teams.
They would welcome any type of entertainment. Even from a third rate group of
losers like the Rangers. Please move.

Why should they move? They have a good baseball stadium and make a revenue.

You should be making a better suggestion like make sure all the divisions
have the same number of teams, cut the games to 142, make the rules the same
for each division, and introduce a sallary cap.

Yup, the taxpayers originally funded the ballpark. The Rangers had 30
years to repay the city of Arlington. They repaid it the first ten
years. Hate to burst your conspiracy bubble.

Cut the games to 142.....Now my friend I have not heard that
one.....LOL

And the old salary cap arguement....Yep a cap would be the answer.Make
the thing more like the NFL with a bunch of .500 teams.Looks like to
me the only morons wanting a cap is the pathetic fans that follow
losing franchises like the Rangers.Spending large money has never
insured a winner and having a small budget has never insured that a
franchise will not win ....Florida,Oakland,Minnesota....Being a Dallas
sports fan must be an awful thing.Cows do look good right now though
but overall Big D is full of losers and underachieving teams as well
as idiot facepainters....

Well the stadium has officially paid itself off.

I have heard suggestions of cutting the season to 5 months. I agree with it.
Baseball is long and drawn out. It becomes relatively boring.

When you have one team spending 260 million, and another team spending 40
million... you are damn right it would make a difference.

You must remember that these "small market" teams are raking in big
money from the evil big spending clubs in the form of luxery tax.Now a
cap is going to do away with that perk and in turn the poor "small
market" teams will be left without any means of income, aside from the
TeeVee contract. However most of the small market owners choose to not
reinvest the tax money on their team, they opt to pocket the money. So
if you are a small market owner why would you ever want anything like
a salary cap? It will never happen in baseball because ALL the owners
are raking in huge money and the MLB Players Union (who BTW is the
strongest union in the U.S. bar none) would simply laugh it off the
table.

There is no way that the A's are raking in huge profits like the Yankees. Or
the Royals are raking in big profits like the Red Sox.

The facts are that a cap equals the playing field. If you want to ruin it
all then go for it. You want the league to be 6 teams strong? That's how it
will be eventually unless baseball continues to increase profit sharing or
put a cap in baseball.

They have atleast made the first step in profit sharing.

Because they could make money in Santa also and then we wouldn't have to hear
about their sorry asses every week during the regular season.

I don't know about that. A place like Sante Fe wouldnt sell 20 thousand
seats on a slow night. Imagine filling up American AIrlines Center 80 times
a year... and then some. It's high revenue...

and I doubt the Rangers care about the press here, which is relatively kind
to the Rangers...
