HR--1 HB, 2 WP
Culberson, the last of the Giants three supplemental picks, was one of
four Giants with two hits each. He raised his AVG above the Mendoza
line. The obligatory Villalona listing. He has 2 H and 5 SO among 13
AB in his last three games.
The 19-year-old Bucardo appears to be the face of the staff with a
1.31 ERA over three starts. The 22-year-old Runzler, who as the 9th
rounder is the highest draft pick among the pitchers who have signed,
got pounded while making his fourth pro appearance. His ERA is now
over 11.00.
DSL: Giants lost to Marlins 11-10 (10 innings)
Giants: DH Jose Medina: 3 for 5, 2B, BB, SO, SB
Scottsdale: RHP Luis Nova: 4.0 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 0 HR--1
HB, 1 WP
The 20-year-old Medina raise his OPS back over .900 (.953 OPS in 19
games in June to begin the season) as he now has a .264/.418/.483 line
in 87 AB this year. He hit .278/.377/.444 a year ago, but that was
not enough to earn a promotion to the United States. The 24-year-old
Nova is easily the oldest player on the roster and as yesterday's
starter apparently made his first appearance in the DSL in over a year. >> Stay informed about: minor lines, 7/10/07 |
