while i am sure you all have, if you really look at the 2008 schedule,
you will see that through August and September, all but twelve of our
games are against division opponents? If we can stay no more than ten
games back by July, we have a great chance at making up some heavy
ground in this division. Better still, if we are close to or in the
lead, we could put this division out of reach. Wishful thinking I
guess, but still a possibility.

I would forget about the division and worry about the wildcard. It's much
more realistic. Of course, the team has to stop blowing leads, both early
and late in the game.

I've noticed our schedule is definitely top heavy the first three
months. If we can just make it to July 1 within double digits.
Looking at the next five series though my hope drops.

And there is no guarantee against those lesser clubs anyway. Undoubtedly
they say the same things about the Reds when they see us on the
upcoming schedule. We're like the fat lady in the skintight outfit.
Everybody sees it but us.
