In a keeper league with the stats:
batter: R, HR, RBI, SB, K, FPCT, AVE, OBS
pitcher: W, L, CG, SV, HR, ERA, WHIP, K/9

who would you rather keep Pujols or Prior.
Pujols has the advantage of playing multiple positions, and would be very
important at 3rd base, giving most 3rd baseman have low FPCT
Prior is a star with high K, but could be replaced a little easier IMHO.
(currently I have Wells, Chacon, Wolf, Loaiza, Ortiz, and Contreras on DL)
WOuld you trade Prior for Pujols?
I was thinking of giving up Prior and Glaus and getting Pujols and ??? this
is the other problem, is this guy is low on pitching prospects. He has
Ponson, Rueter, Lohse, Russ Ortiz, Millwood, Moss, Urbina and Julio nothing
spectactular there.
Any thoughts on who to pick up?
Thanks

I would go with Pujols for the reasons you cite, although be careful about
his position eligibility. He has played 23 games at 1B so far this year,
but none at third, and with Rolen around, he probably won't play much there.
So when valuing Pujols for keeper potential, I would think of him as 1B/OF
only.

That's all garbage, except possibly Millwood. I can't think of any one of
them I would add to Pujols to make that deal fair. Maybe you could throw in
a middle reliever and get Millwood *and* Julio, or something like that.
