Post subject: jones and the cubs

Jacque Jones is paid too much.
The result is that the Cubs cannot trade him.
So he will sit on the bench.
His career is derailed - all for some money he does not need.

If he could renegotiate his contract, contingent on a trade
to a team that will play him, everyone would be better off.
And people do move to lower paying more pleasant jobs sometimes.

Sadly, he probably can't see this -- and the MLBPA would likely
not approve. But tearing up his contract and becoming a free agent
would be best for all.

I imagine his agent would also object.
