the indians seem determined to go with the platoon in LF, as this
guy's only apparent appeal is against RHP. won't hit much for power
though but he will produce some doubles while hitting around.300.

Tyner was signed to a minor league contract with no invitation to
spring training. He will only come up to the big league club if there
is an injury or non-producing outfielder that can be sent down to AAA.

i didn't state so explicitly, but the point was that he'd be insurance
if delucci isn't fully recovered as choo will start the season still
rehabbing; they're obviously convinced that jason michaels should only
be hitting LHP.
