True. I wasn't aware that he had gone to Balitimore but at 36 I guess
I can understand why the Tigers didn't try to resign him. Although
Rogers is 42, I guess 36 is too old for a reliever.

skippy gammons:

==================================

that's because you're not a real fan and don't even follow the
sport...but that's well documented on this board and we've been over it
several times

No, you're right. I've only been following the Tigers since around
1955 or 56. Which, since I've never lived in Michigan, is a pretty
good feat. But the all knowing Witzke says I'm not a fan. But you
know what? You can kiss my ass. I don't really care what you think.

Don't know how I missed it either. I had a rough December (sick) and
wasn't on the newgroups too much. Then I was on the road for business
a lot in late January and early February, so I suppose it slipped
through somewhere along the way.

All the pundits are saying we have a great bullpen and I have to
agree. If Maroth can come back and be that fifth starter, that would
be great. Then we still have closers Jones, Rodney and Zumaya.
Ledezma it looks like is being groomed to take over Walker's spot.

Also Andrew Miller is waiting in the wings. He'll probably not make
the 25 man roster but he'll be back up in September if not.
