The Cardinals message to the Mets: "You don't belong against the elite
of the NL." Let's see if they can turn it against one of the best NL
pitchers this year. So far, they are schooling the Mets on how to play
baseball: Get on base, take advantage of other teams mistake, move him
over, drive him in. No need to hit a 5 run HR every time up.

Of course, after I write this the Cards make an error.....5 - 1. But
it's OK, because Wright killed the rally by swinging at the first
pitch. Typical.

Hojo, we love you for what you did with the Mets.....but time is
running out. You are next!!

Changing Mgr and pitching coach did nothing.
Hitting coach is nothing more than rah rah coach.
Most of these players are beyond coaching.

Someone on tonight's telecast ask, why the Mets are so inconsistent?
Keith didn't have an answer, but it's simple. The Cardinals show it
today. The Mets are not a fundamentally sound team. Period. Nobody is
thinking about specific situation, nobody cares about getting on base
and let the guy behind continue a rally. They can't hit the ball the
other way, they just go out there and try to hit a HR every time there
is a runner on base. They help pitchers by swinging at the first pitch
when they can't get a strike. They are just awful.

Tonight you saw why the Cardinals kept playing well, even when Pujols
was out. Strong pitching, excellent defense and a fundamentally sound
(selfless!) offense.
