I'm amazed that they would only have a 1 year deal with a station.

They should get to work on WTEM and make them a flagship station and get
those Angelos butt kissers out of there. It's embarrassing that the radio
sports talk station in Washington doesn't carry the Nationals, but does
carry the only team to seriously challenge the Nationals coming here, the
Orioles.

Old owners, Bonneville, find not enough audience. According to article
the Nats will continue to be there. May move next year, depending ...

Other than the Sports Reporters who are average, WTEM really stinks.
That said, they do have an ok signal. But, the Nats would never receive
attention over their Skin coverage, so I say leave it on an independent
station. Having the FM broadcast is nice also.

I guess my point was that the Orioles have no business being on WTEM. They
also have a notorious idea that golf is a major sport in this country as far
as listening audience goes. I occasionally like to see golf highlights, but
the notion of listening to someone go on about the details of his golf swing
for the majority of the weekend is enough to make you dissect your eyes.
Personally, I like the John Thompson show more than the Sports Reporters.
They also have a wider variety of guests and talk about all sports,
including the Nats.

The day they switched over from WTOP I listened for about 2 hours and that
is the last time I tuned into that station. I have XM and I get the Nats
games and a ton of other games no matter where I am in the country. Also
get Hockey, sports news, talk radio (right and left) CNN, Fox, tons of
music. Best investment I made in entertainment in a long time.
