Bobby was pissed. This one really hurts the team. Wore out the bullpen
before the Mets series and road trip. He may actually be done with the
Braves. Can you imagine the Braves eating the last year of that contract?

I don't see any way he'd be done with the Braves unless he's injured for
the year, which this doesn't sound like. And even then, they likely
have some remaining insurance on the contract.

Even so, Bobby sounded like her is going to be loathe to count on Hampton
again. Bobby didn't need this type of headache before the Mets series, and
I don't think he's going to forget it.

Maybe the insurance you mention will cause this to be the longest muscle
pull in history, to keep him on DL.

My earlier point about Hampton still stands: He needs to stop sculpting his
body, and to get nice and flabby like Greg Maddux instead, to give his
muscles a rest. Won't happen though.

I'm sure you're right. Bobby doesn't like this kind of stuff. Hampton's
teammates probably don't like it either (I'm thinking of Chipper's
response when JD Drew took himself out of the lineup and Chipper thought
he did so too easily).

I doubt it. Cox might not like him, but the team is likely better with
him than without him.
