Even I have to admit it. They are one of the best teams in baseball so far.

Chase is playing like a madman.

However, I still don't like their starting pitching rotation.

Hamels has been very good,
Meyers is still a head case(hopefully he gets it worked out, he's been
better in his last few starts)
Moyer is Moyer, but he's consistent and solid
Kendrick, ehhhh
Adam Eats-It finally picked up his first win a couple days before June(That
is disgusting with this hitting line up behind you)

The bullpen has been A+ though and that is why the deficiency at starting
pitching has been overcome. Many of these guys haven't had to give innings
because of the bullpen, but you can't wear the bullpen out.

I think this team(barring injuries of course) would be the leading contender
for the title with another solid starting pitcher.

My vote goes for trying to acquire Greg Maddux, especially if the Pads keep
tanking. Maddux would be huge on this team with the run support they give to
pitchers, he hasn't received any in San Diego this season.

What did you have in mind to give up for him?

i wonder if he has a no trade, and if he'd even come to the phils over
say a return to atlanta. remember, boras is his agent.

i think it's clear kris benson isn't coming back. i think he's quite
happy to hang out in florida, throw every couple of days, chill out.

doh, "chilling out". as in, that's all he wants to do. he's got tons of
money and a hot wife. i wonder how much his fire burns to pitch, to have
to work for it.
