I thought it was an awful lot of weaker excuses for a guy who is 9 for 11 to
not try to make it 10 for 12 when the Reds need baserunners. The numbers
there simply don't lie.

I don't see where I'm acting like a jerk. I don't see any reason why he
shouldn't go for it if they're willing to give it up, and we need guys on.
I don't buy the 'oh he might get hurt' or 'oh he might get hit by a pitch'
in these situations. Do you watch Reds games? If so, you'd know that he
knows what he's doing up there when he lays one down. He's fundamentally
sound. That might be why he's 9 for 11.

This is a tired thread. I'm sticking to my theory until he proves me wrong.

Hey, if you guys aren't happy with him there in Cincinnati, we'd be
happy to have him here in Seattle. The Mariners could use a good DH.

I don't know how major league players are paid, but he's due 12 million plus
4 million deffered and a 4 million buyout of next years contract.

I have to think that after 600, if Junior is amiable, they'll deal him to
anyone willing to pay the frieght.

Why wait? He might not even hit that homer at home. I guess Bob is hoping
for big crowds while he's sitting on 599, but I still don't see many takers.
He had a horrible April a few years ago and we thought he was done, so maybe
he'll heat up this month. Lord knows we need it.

Send him back to Seattle for 600. He hit most of his hr's here anyway,
and we still love him. Maybe you guys would be happier with Richie
Sexson.

I like Junior. He's had a tough time (mostly bad luck) in Cincy. When
Bowden swung that deal, I though it was the deal of the century. Despite
how it played out, I can't ever fault the deal.

We change Players, Managers, GM's, Owners..............it seems to ALWAYS
fall back to 'dog & pony'.
