Still Irwin is not a bad pitcher at all and this was a battle to the
end. Sheffiled's drive in the 7th(?) could have been the difference.
Guess he didn't eat his Wheaties.
Tigers came back strong on Saturday and Galarraga pitched very well
again although he didn't get the win. The middle relief is actually
keeping the team in games unlike earlier in the season. It's helped
to have Granderson and Polanco back in the line up as well.
Sunday should see Guillen return and Verlander on the mound against
ex-Tiger Weaver's brother Jared both 1-3. I see another big day for
Tiger hitters.
