Here's where Cubs fans don't get it...

Cubs fans are the best in the world and at times they are the worst in
the world because they love to make excuses for a Cubs loss. It's the
daytime weather. It's the trip to Japan. It's this guy not being
there because of an injury. It's this guy being there because of an
injury. Bullshit!

The Cubs are 1/2 game back. I'm disappointed they lost the series to
the Dodgers, but I can't believe some of the fans are already planning
for next year. So the team suffered a temporary defeat. That's all
it is-temporary defeat. We move on, we take the series at home
against Houston and we're back on top again where we belong. And I
predicted they would win the series on the road against the Astros. I
predict we will win the series at home against the Astros and the Cubs
will win the division. Mark my words. The Cubs will win the NL
Central.

There is no question that by and large most of the sports media thinks
the Cubs will choke, but that's nothing new. I just don't like to
hear it from Cubs fans. Maybe it's because being in a pennant race
this late in the year is not something we're used to, but some of you
have to get past that mentality. Have some confidence in your team.
We'll make it. Have faith.
