I was all over the place, checking out and playing a lot of stuff.

Which one was that? Was it the one next to the hybrid cars? I actually
spent the least amount of time in any radio or tv broadcast booths. I did
listen to Selig speak for about a minute, then I got bored and left.
Spent a lot of time just waiting in line. I liked the pitching thing and
the batting cage where you can choose which player you face. Never seen
anything like that before. While waiting in line, I was trying to decide
which player I like to strikeout, but after watching 97% of the people just
walk their batters, I figure if I'm gonna walk someone, might as well be
Bonds.

But surprisingly, even though I haven't even played catch for
over a year, I was very accurate (well, better than 97% of the people
anyway). I had Bonds on 2 balls and 2 strikes, then as soon as I released
the next pitch I knew it was a strike. "Yes, I got him!" Next thing I
knew, Bonds hit it over the wall and into the cove! I couldn't believe it.
I watched for nearly an hour and everybody either walked their batters or
struck them out; I didn't see a single hit. Oh well. I think I gave up
#752.
The batting cage was cool too. Unlike most that simply throw you all
fastballs, these cages mix it up. You get fastballs outside the strikezone,
changeups, sinkers, whatever. All the breaking pitches are never strikes,
but of course we swing at them anyway, since you only get 5 pitches, ball or
strike (that was the bad part). I chose to face Clemens. I was able to
make contact on the 2 strikes, but swung and missed the other 3. The last
pitch was brutal. It was a sinker or slider that bottoms out and bounced on
the plate, which made me look like Feliz. At least I didn't choose to face
Zito or Morris like some people did. I wouldn't sleep very well if *they*
struck me out.
Watched the Killebrew interview for a bit too, which was quite interesting.
Some fan asked him something about his 574 HRs, and he smiled and replied:
"573 is what they tell me I hit, but I actually did hit 574. One time I hit
one which seemed to have gone over the fence, but the ump told me to stop at
2B, because it was a double, not a HR, so I stopped at 2B. But the next day
I asked (the opposing outfielder, forgot the name he mentioned) if it was a
HR, and he said it *was* indeed a HR. So I did hit 574."
They even had a booth where you can have your beard shaved by some ladies,
like a mini barber shop. That was so weird. What's that got to do with
baseball? But I guess that made Alyssa Milano's appearance not as out of
place.
