Rob needs to look at his minor league stats his lowest obp in the minors was
..260 and lowest batting average was .264 both in his first season, his minor
league average was .316 with a .390 obp. I really cant judge a player on
less than 300 at bats spread over 3 seasons in the majors..but even with
that his longest stint in the majors was last year and he averaged .276 with
a .316 obp. I think this is a guy that just needs a chance to settle into a
position. As for Rob and Rany, Rob's biggest problem is looking at things
from the stats he picks and chooses not the overall picture. Frankly I
think he would be better off to go root for some other team since its
obvious that no matter what move is made with the Royals he will find more
negative than positive to say about it. The royals could sign Pujols
tomorrow and Rob would claim that Alberts getting old and we are going away
from the youth movement, just wait till Hochevar signs....i will bet the
next day Rob will be ranting about how overpayed he is and that he is going
to be a bust. The guys gotten so jaded he probably just needs to step away
and root for the White Sox or something.
