As others have said, we've had a series of three bad ownership group in
a row. In addition, we've had the threat of a moving team over our heads
for nearly a decade now. Fans don't want to build ties with a team that
might take off (which of course increases the likliehood of the team
leaving).

AJ, if you hang around here long enough you'll get the details.
Suffice it to say, we all thought Claude Brochu was a bad owner and
Jeffrey Loria was the saviour of the team until we got to know Loria a
little better -- took two months, if that -- to the point where
"ownership" by Major League Baseball has actually seemed like an
improvement. A very slight improvement.

Sorry Johnny but the Expos have had below league average attendance going
back to 1984. That is despite some good teams in the 1990's, especially
1994.
