Not sure if Mr Willoughby still hangs around these parts but was doing
some self research to see what I could find on the web and located this
thread discussing HoF'ers

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/uk.sport.baseball/browse_frm/thread/5...4d8757d

Interesting to see that the some of our picks are in and some of those
we talked about now look like they'll never make the Hall.

Nothing hugely interesting but some nice perspective.

To be fair I think his back imploded.

I think the steroids issue might do for him, as it will for McGwire (I
had to look up to spell his name then. Umthinkable 5 years ago...),
Palmeiro and Sosa.

Clemens is top-5 now, and maybe even

Indeed. I guess the interesting one remains Griffey, but I imagine he's
probly done enough.

I think we did OK. Bagwell and Biggio have faded somewhat. Thomas faded,
before his recent resurgance, but he should have been a lock in 2001
anyway. I'm not sure how much interest Larkin will get, even though he
deserves to be in. Kevin Brown imploded.

I had to laugh at Barry Bonds being 'probably one of the top 10
hitters'. He's probably one of the top 2 now, even though the steroids
suspicion kinda overshadows that. Clemens is top-5 now, and maybe even
still going. Pedro made his 5 years; I hope he manages another 5, but
he's definitely in.

More than. 500 HR, hit early enough to avoid the steroid suspicion; an
MVP award; five tools; a likeable persona and ten straight gold gloves.
The voters love all that stuff. He's a lock.
