the apostrophe is not a possessive aspostrophe, but
instead a contractual apostrophe, like the one in
"winnin'". charlie o finley, mule & all, began
referring to the kansas city athletics as his "A's"
way back in the pre-campanerian days.

A's = Athletics, it's a big contraction.

in a nine inning game??? i cant recall after campy.
