I'm not too optimistic about the future of baseball on channel 5.
There seems to be hardly any adverts now and a couple of times
recently it has been shunted back so we miss the start of the game.
Hopefully MLB are not charging too much for the rights so that five
think it is worth keeping in the schedule. Anyone with any inside info
?

No inside info, but old Curtain-shirt mentioned a couple of weeks back that
they were hoping to get a fantasy league up and running next season, so that
would indicate that 5 will still have it for at least '04.

This is not the first season that the station's schedulers have been totally
cavalier with the show. It's been happening for at least the last three
seasons, and seems to get worse after the All-star Break. I suggest that we
write to the programme controller to complain. After all, why delay live
sporting coverage for yet another re-run of "The World's Wackiest Videos In
Which Oklahoma Police Stop The Same Drunken Redneck In A Stolen Pontiac"?

I think perhaps the best course of action is to let sleeping dogs lie.
Perhaps the CH5 execs have forgotten about Baseball, to remind them
may condemn it to the axeman.

The new "improved* Channel five web site is a dead loss as far as the
MLB pages are concerned. Many months ago they indicated that the
baseball forum would be restored "soon" and the same message is still
displayed when one returns to check on progress.

Could this also be symptomatic of neglect?
