Yeah, cause there's only one radio station in Cleveland, and you had
no choice but to listen to it.

All we get in Phoenix is a half-hour pregame and "call-in"
after games. (Neither of which are worth listening to.)

A weekly show (what's going on in the minors, what's up with
injured players, etc.) would be nice to have.

Let's look at a more common weekday in sports radio.
6AM-8AM: Call-in show primarily talking football.
8AM-10AM: Call-in show primarily talking football.
10AM-noon: Call-in show primarily talking football.
Noon-2PM: Call-in show primarily talking football.
2PM-4PM: Call-in show primarily talking football.
4PM-6PM: Call-in show primarily talking football.
6PM-7PM: Baseball pregame show.
7PM-10:15PM: Baseball game and postgame show
10:15PM-6AM: Syndicated national call-in show primarily talking
football.

Or Sundays during football season (Central time):
8AM-10AM: Football pre-pregame show, traffic for people going to
tailgate parties, etc.
10AM-Noon: Pregame show, complete with roving reporters in the tailgate
parties.
Noon-3:30PM: Football game and postgame show.
3:30PM-6:00PM: Call-in show about the game.
6:00PM-7:00PM: Recap of the NFL afternoon games, preview of Sunday Night
game.
7:00PM-10:30PM: Sunday Night game and postgame
10:30PM-6AM: Syndicated national call-in show primarily talking
football.

Or Saturdays during football season (Central time):
8AM-11AM: National pre-football show unless local team has an 11 AM or
noon kickoff, in which case it's the local pregame show.
11AM-2PM: National or regional 11AM game of the week, or local pregame
show or game or pregame show.
2PM-5PM: National or regional 2PM game of the week, or local pregame
show or game or pregame/postgame show.
5PM-6PM or 7PM: Recap of earlier games plus pregame of 6PM or 7PM game,
or local game or pregame/postgame show.
6PM-9PM or 7PM-10PM: National or regional 6PM or 7PM game of the week,
or local postgame show.
10PM-8AM: Nationally syndicated call-in shows talking primarily about
college football from Saturday or pro football from Sunday.

Yeah, baseball is talked about too much.

WLS? Eek. WMVP here, except during Rome, and Cubs day games.

I like Roe Cahn and Gary Meyer. They aren't political like
Don Wade or Jay and Eileen. I miss Catherine Johns.

WMVP is ok

In the Bay Area all of the top rated stations are AM. I don't know of any
baseball teams that are on FM only.

the radio, to candle light, the other day.

They bill themselves as "Newsradio". They are the 50,000 watt clear
signal for a reason, such as when there's an emergency. Considering
the region was recovering from a major blackout which included a water
crisis, it really seemed they should've pre-emted some of this
frivolous baseball coverage to help the community. For example,
regular updates on the location of the emergency water distribution
centers. I felt what they did was irresponsible.
