You guys (and gals) have identified classic or even ordinary baseball
decisions that Baker is going the opposite way.

There is something more here than merely mistakes in judgment or philosophy
with a long term aim except to engineer an exit point. That is my humble
opinion.

This is not going to be fun until Hendry pulls the rip cord.

Baker has lost his desire to manage the Cubs and is exhibiting blatant sabotage of the team just so he can be fired and still collect on his contract!

What a waste of the efforts of the Cubs and their management. Tomorrow would be a good day to wake up to the news of a new manager to replace Baker.

You know there are people who may not believe this. I think the process will
become more and more obvious each succeeding day. If the week continues I
predict it be done before it goes deeper

As much as I disagree with many things Baker does and doesn't do, that
theory is preposterous. Baker is a competitor and has way too much pride to
conspire as you indicate. It's the same pride that infuriates me when he
refuses to make changes to the way he does things. But he certainly doesn't
deserve to be tainted with such a scurrolous hypothesis.

You know, Ivy, I want to read your blog, because I'm interested in Cubs'
prospects. But it's statements like this that make me wonder how much I can
trust other things that you might write.

I wrote all of the items you're referring to in the above. It seems that Ivy may be mistakenly receiving a bad rap for something that he didn't write as a result of unmarked <snips>.

In all fairness, Ivy apparently put considerable thought into the content in the blog.

My apologies to Ivy, then. I will check out the blog.
