Pedilla, Eaton, Matthews, DeRosa, Barrajas.....any minute now the
Rangers are going to nullify all those losses. BAM! Frankie the Cat!

Those losses really hurt but I have to say there is no way that any of
those guys are worth what they just g t signed for. Eaton is making
$8million per year?!!???!?!?!?!?!? Did he pitch in 8 games all of last
year? I like Matthews and Derosa but they aint worth that.

None of those guys would make the difference between being a playoff
contender or not. Eaton - showed nothing in about 30 innings. Padilla -
did well, but a head case and not worth what he got. Matthews - hate to
lose him, but had a career year and not worth $10 MM a year - even in
spending someone else's money. Barajas - can't hit. DeRosa - had a career
year, would like to keep him, but doubt he would repeat his success.

As critical as I am of the Rangers I could not agree more with the
statement above.Matthews is 32 I think and if he woulda been a 25 or 26
years old then maybe you do it but not at this stage of his
career.Whoever drew the line here made a good sound baseball decision
no matter if Matthews has 3 or 4 more good years it was just a risk
that the Rangers should not have made and wisely they didn't.

Did Mr. Baseball make this call....?
