BZZZT, wrong answer.
Schmidt is 33 and has a career ERA+ of 110. His ERA+ has been 125 or
better in three of the past four seasons. He signed with the Dodgers
for 3 years and $47 million.
Compare that with Ted Lilly who is 30 years old, has a career ERA+ of
99, has never pitched 200 innings in a season, and has a career ERA of
4.60. The Cubs signed him today for 4 years and $40 million.
