And Damon will help bring us a World Series ring.

Well, I am sure that if, hypothetically speaking, a franchise
player, let's say Jeter ever became a Red Sox - remember the
hypothetical part, you Yankee fans would burn Jeter's jersey just as
fast as Sox' fans did with Damon.

I also forgot to mention that yesterday ESPN News reported that at the
Rangers hockey game, they showed a picture of Damon during the game and
the New York fans booed. Is that a way to treat a Yankee? Aren't you
suppose to embrace him now that he plays for you?

What's the saying, "What have you done for me lately?" .

we boo people who dont pull their own weight because we're passionate about

right, that's why Clemens is a beloved player in Boston. let's be real, if
Damon doesn't come up big in Game 7, he's just another goat in Red Sox
history..

Perhaps but no one wanted to give the Yankees a good center fielder (coco,
rowand) without giving up one of the few prospects they have.

Did they overpay? Probably but it seems they were backed into this corner
and didnt want to go with Bernie, Bubba or Melki. Fiscally that would have
made more sense but this the entertainment business and having Damon on the
Yanks will bring tons of fannies in the seats, national TV exposure and
higher ratings.

Even though I think the Sox didn't loose much if anything Coco vs. Damon and
they saved a bunch of money (insert Geico joke) I think the Yankees got much
better filling the leadoff and centerfield holes with a great player and got
better, much better, while the sox treaded water in the CF slot at best. And
the Yanks don't care if a few million (12-13)gets spent.

Damon still gets on base a lot more than Coco, and creates more runs.

That's what I haven't read much here, about Damon's sheer speed. He can
stretch one base into two or three. With the Yankees' recent weakness on the
mound, he could provide needed run support hitting in front of Jeter, A-Rod
and Godzilla.

Um, don't lump Jeter and Damon on the same breath.
