I wonder when this site will get the Nationals forum up and running.
Yes we are discussing it here but it is still named Montreal and not
Washington.

This is newsgroup, not a web site. The Expos site is now the D.C.
Nationals site.
There are still newsgroups for the LA Raiders and Rams.

And the Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Grizzles, Charlotte Hornets, and Quebec
Nordiques. I can't find the Hartford Whalers group anymore. In most
cases, a new group was created and the old one left to wither. Except
the Vancouver Grizzles group appears to still be the current discussion
for Memphis.

alt.sports.hockey.nhl.hford-whalers.

It turned up when I typed whalers rather than Hartford.

It won't be renamed, ever. At some point, there will be a NEW NG,
alt.sports.baseball.wash-nationals, or similar.

The one good reason not to form a Nationals newsgroup yet is that Nationals
itself may be just a temporary name. The yet to be determined new ownership
could still change the name to Senators, Grays or something else entirely.

Another good reason not to change it is that people may still want to
discuss the old Expos, who had the second worst team name in history
after the Mets. The "Nationals" may soon vault into first place. I'm
hoping for "The Hornets."
