| I'm not sure if anybody really expected anything different based on the
complete lack of roster moves since last season, but it doesn't seem that
much has changed. The starting pitching has been bad, the bullpen has been
God-awful, and the hitting has been as mediocre as ever. Not much to get
excited about. See ya next year, I guess.

I think it would be a mistake to judge the success or failure of the
season by the wins loss record. Huntington didn't have much to work
with when he came on board and circumstances tied his hands to a great
extent. The moves available to him were a none to good and the start
of this season was pretty much pre-determined before he was hired.
Come September the organization could have a rock solid third base man
prospect shredding up the minors from the draft and a revamped roster
resulting from some timely if not popular trades; if that happens I'll
consider is a win.
Of course if the 2009 opening day roster looks anything like the 2008
roster I'll be plenty disappointed. >> Stay informed about: Looks like business as usual |

#16 has started and the new record will be established in 2009. Nothing
changes with the Nutting Nothings! LaRoach has 2 hits for the seaon,
Dumb-Ass-O Marte is the best player on the other team with an 84.00 ERA.
Jack Wilson is hurt. PATHETIC! >> Stay informed about: Looks like business as usual |

Here's a clue...Nutting needs to put some "seed" money into the
organization. Spending only revenue sharing money on players is a JOKE! As
long as Nutting owns the Nothings, they will remain that...NOTHING! >> Stay informed about: Looks like business as usual |

Huntington and the entire management of the Pirates will not be any
more successful than their predecessors. Their hands are tied by the
Nuttings.
The Nuttings have continued to ruin this team, while they put New York
Yankee money in their pockets for profit year after year after year.
Only stupid fans going to the games to buy expensive hot dogs and try
to get one of those stupid bobble head dolls can get the Nuttings
attention by STAYING HOME and not going to the games.
Don't look for this to happen however. >> Stay informed about: Looks like business as usual |

Here, here! And be sure that Nutting is not about to do any such
thing! He's a newspaper guy and they're traditionally slow to react
and along with this trait, also CHEAP.
It certainly fits here! >> Stay informed about: Looks like business as usual |

Did you really expect a change with the Nutting Nothings? >> Stay informed about: Looks like business as usual |

LaRoach will get his hits this year...unfortunately for the Pirates it
will be when they're 35 games out of first place. Can't Barry Bonds
play first base? Or Frank Thomas? They're both looking for work, I
understand, and have almost 1300 homers between them. >> Stay informed about: Looks like business as usual |
