The team finally scores double figures in runs, and then they find a way to
give up even more. A 10-3 lead after 4.5 innings and then the giants shut
down their offense, pitched totally ineffectively, at least until Kansas
reached 11, then the giants pitched ok. Could someone have detected that
Yabu had nothing while he was still in the bullpen. And I'm sure everyone
developed an ulcer as soon as Chulk came in. I am surprised he got an out
first even though it was a line drive. Did our defense ever get a DP when
they really needed one. And our fielding fell apart too, and we can't blame
Bengie for the bad fielding, Mr. DH today, but was he the only starter
without a hit? I wonder how many of his 10 walks this year were
intentional? Surprised he hasn't swung yet when the other team is making
a pick off attempt as second base. Does this choke propensity come from the
top down ie; Bochy, or is it just a characteristic of the fine nine we have
on the field? I think only Randy Winn got a hit after the giants pitchers
collapsed as if they had a big wager on Kansas. The good news is, no game
tomorrow.

I was scoreboard watching while I was at Petco Park on sunday. Losing
a 10-3 lead like that is pretty bad. The whole NL West stinks right
now. Might have another 82 win team finish 1st, like 2005. Is it Bruce
Bochy? We unceremoniously said goodbye to him and now we stink too. He
gets a lot out of the players he is dealt. He should have had better
treatment from Padres management.
