Hello,

I'm thinking of getting into fantasy baseball this year. Is there a
book or website that you can recommend for a complete novice?
Thanks...

on www.johnbenson.com you can order his VOl.1 and Vol.2 guides. Start
with the first one, which covers the basics of what fantasy baseball is,
how to set up and manage a league, etc.

One caveat, those books were written in 1992 and never updated, so I
wouldn't take as gospel everything in there. Much water under the
bridge, kimosabe.

But they give you a good overview.

John Benson doesn't know any more about rotisserie league baseball than
most guys playing in a decent league. If you want to get a book, get
the Original book, "Rotisserie League Baseball: The Official Rule Book
and Draft Day Guide" - and get the 1984 version by Glen Waggoner. It
holds up and tells all about whole this whole craze began.

If you know the basics, you should be off to a good start. Do you have
a league to join - because there's a big difference between playing
with folks you know - versus a public, free Yahoo league. You'll need
to know draft vs. Auction? AL or NL or mixed?

If you have specific questions, post them up here. I can help. In
between the flaming, you can find some good info.
