Yes, the story down South goes is that you are not a man until you can eat cornbread without choking. Those who have not yet hit the mark must rely on butter or margarine to get it down. And the Mets, ahead of the NL East the whole season, could only roust a 4-6 in their last 10 game, whereas the Phillies went 7-3. Yay Phillies! Way to go! And even more kudos to the team that made it happen - the Florida Marlins. Thanks for helping to make those Mets choke, and to have a very long offseason to wonder why they choked at the end of the season. As well as give them a chance to go out and buy ample supplies of butter and/or margarine.
