IMO, last week would have been too late. I was shocked when Gibbons was not
fired in October of '06, and even more so that he is still there today.

Yup, injuries to Reed Johnson, Ryan, Halladay, Glaus, League ...
Obviously, these were predictable events. So let's fire the guys who
lack the necessary crystal ball(s). Makes hell of a lot of sense. >> Stay informed about: Yet another baseball question... |

I'm not talking about the injuries. I'm talking about incompetent

The management decisions that put Johnson, Ryan and Glaus on the
roster indicate competence, not incompetence. This is a team that
finished ahead of the Red Sox, although the Sox payroll was probably
double that of the Jays. >> Stay informed about: Yet another baseball question... |

Chris Carpenter. Carlos Delgado. Michael Young.
When it became clear that Boston wasn't going to make the playoffs
last year they were in 2nd place. They stopped trying and only then
did the Jays pass them. Now in his sixth year, the Jays are,
arguably, the worst team in baseball despite Rogers money. It's
time for Ricky Riccardo to pack it in.
cordially, as always,
